Heart Failure with Preserved Ejection Fraction: A Misunderstood Disease in Search of a Therapy
Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) has long been considered one of the most challenging forms of heart failure to diagnose and treat. With evolving diagnostic frameworks and recent landmark clinical trials, the therapeutic landscape has changed dramatically.
This session reviews practical approaches to diagnosing HFpEF and highlights the latest evidence supporting SGLT2 inhibitors, ARNI therapy, and nonsteroidal MRAs. Clinicians will gain clarity on treatment selection across the ejection fraction spectrum and leave equipped to apply contemporary, guideline-informed strategies to improve outcomes in patients with mildly reduced or preserved ejection fraction.
