Biography

Dr. Wilson completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at University of California San Diego in the field of Bioengineering. Dr. Wilson subsequently went to UC Irvine medical school. After completing a residency in Internal Medicine at UCLA and fellowship at UCLA, Dr. Wilson accepted professorship at UCLA where he currently holds this position. Dr. Wilson's fields of expertise includes prevented of Nephrology, management of acute kidney injury in complex transplant patients including heart/lung/liver/pancreas/small-bowel/multivisceral transplantation and the use of artifical intelligence in medicine. Dr. Wilson is involved extensively in clinical research in the field of continues renal placement therapy and artificial intelligence. Dr. Wilson recently developed an machine learning model being used at UCLA that uses artificial intelligence to predict which patients will develop kidney failure within 2 years.
