Anne Larkin

Biography

Dr. Larkin is an associate professor of surgery and the Vice Provost and Senior Associate Dean of Educational Affairs at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School. After having received a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Missouri, she attended medical school at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She then went on to complete her General Surgery residency at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital, where she was also the Administrative Chief Resident. After the fulfillment of her commitment to the US Navy on active duty, Dr. Larkin joined the faculty at UMass Memorial Department of Surgery. She maintains a busy clinical practice in breast and endocrine surgery. In addition, she is actively engaged in several important organizations including the American Board of Surgery (Councilor), New England Surgical Society (President), the American College of Surgeons, and the Medical Education Senior Leadership group of the American Association of Medical Colleges, among others.
