Biography

Dr. MeiLan Han, M.D., is a Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care at the University of Michigan. Her research focuses on understanding patient heterogeneity to define disease subtypes in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Dr. Han is a member of the Global Obstructive Lung Disease scientific committee and serves on the scientific advisory committees for the COPD Foundation and American Lung Association and the Board of Directors of the COPD Foundation. Dr. Han received her medical degree from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. She is also the author of the book Breathing Lessons: A Doctor’s Guide to Lung Health.
