Biography

Dr. Lisa Ferreira is an obesity medicine physician practicing at the AdventHealth Bariatric & Metabolic Institute in Tampa, Florida. She is board certified In both family medicine and obesity medicine. Prior to joining AdventHealth, Dr. Ferreira practiced family medicine for 15 years before she began to incorporate obesity medicine into her practice. She received her medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical School and her residency and chief-residency at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida. Dr. Ferreira is an active member and fellow of the Obesity Medicine Association and serves on the Board of Directors for the Florida Chapter of the American Society for Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery. Dr. Ferreira is also the president and founding member of the Florida Obesity Society.
