Joseph K. Lim

Biography

Dr. Lim is a Professor of Medicine in the Section of Digestive Diseases at Yale University School of Medicine, where he serves as Director of Clinical Hepatology and Associate Chief of Yale-New Haven Health System (YNHHS) Digestive Health. He is a graduate of the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University (Chicago, Illinois, USA), and completed training in Internal Medicine at Yale University (New Haven, Connecticut, USA) and Gastroenterology/Hepatology at Stanford University (Palo Alto, California, USA). In his role at the Yale Liver Center, Dr. Lim directs an active clinical trials program evaluating novel investigational agents for hepatitis B, hepatitis D, and NASH. He serves on the national EPIC Gastroenterology Specialty Steering Board and the steering committee of HCV-TARGET. Dr. Lim has held numerous leadership roles for AASLD, AGA, and ACG, and has served as Section Editor of JAMA, Senior Associate Editor of Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology, Editor-in-Chief of BMJ Open Gastroenterology, and on the editorial boards of JAMA, Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and Hepatology.
