Biography

Sunjay is a native Texan originally from the Dallas-Fort Worth area who knew he wanted to be a doctor from a young age. He did his undergraduate training in biochemistry at the University of Texas at Austin followed by medical school at Texas A&M College of Medicine. He left the state for an Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., which helped spur his interest in critical care medicine. Sunjay returned to Texas to complete a fellowship in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. He is now an enthusiastic Houstonian though his sports allegiances remain in DFW.
